A few weeks ago on a New Year's whim, I talked to my boyfriend about renovating the little shack we live in, on a budget of course, and shortly after my life has been filled with paint cans, sandpaper scraps, messes, and many sporadic shopping trips. Between the Goodwill in my town and a few of the closest Salvation Army stores, I've found some new decor to brighten up what are now clean, but empty rooms in our rented home. I didn't have enough space to photograph everything I've been collecting including a beautiful wooden mandala wall hanging hand-carved in India, some cute moccasin house booties, and a whole lot of glass bottles and ceramic pots for my small succulent, cacti, and air plant babies. A lot of the pieces I found were authentically vintage and made in Japan which I adore, and add a bit of that bohemian flair to our somewhat modern style.
How often do you visit the thrift store?
