Wet n' Wild Nutty Single Eyeshadow Review & MAC Dupe
This popular shade by the brand Wet n' Wild is called #252B Nutty. It is one of those drugstore gems that is pigmented, unique looking, and inexpensive in a sometimes flat niche.
The color is a brown taupe that appears cool toned in the pan; however when lightly swatched or applied to the eye it takes on a more golden, warm hue. It is a satin shade that is borderline frosty due to the high shine. The shine also causes the color to almost have a taupe/silver duo chrome effect in the light.
Formula
The texture is thick yet soft, which allows for great color payoff. It feels very smooth and is easy to blend with both a finger and a brush. The color shows up warmer without a primer and cooler/more bold with a base as it brings out the rich taupe pigment. There was a bit of fall out after application, which may be cut down when using a primer. I didn't notice any creasing on it's own, and even on my oily lids there was just slight fading after a few hours of wear.
Dupe
Compared to MAC's Satin Taupe eyeshadow, Nutty is lighter, warmer, and less purple toned. Personally, I think that the two are close enough where I don't feel the need to purchase Satin Taupe for my collection anytime soon. There is .2 grams more product in the Wet n' Wild pan, which costs $13 less than a MAC eyeshadow.
Both swatches of Nutty are on clean, bare skin.
Find
This shade is in the permanent single eyeshadow range and is available at most drugstores for $1.99.
Conclusion
A unique color like Nutty is a must have for any neutral lover's collection. This shade would make a stand out lid color as well as an unexpected crease or under eye accent. With 1.7 grams of product, the generous size as well as excellent quality, and affordable price is simply unmatched.

Ulta Haul
Last weekend I took a trip with my family to find a new place to eat, and to my surprise I discovered an Ulta in the same plaza. It is the closest one to me, which is about an hour away. Although as most of you beauties probably know, Ulta.com has great discounts that sometimes includes free shipping; so it's not a big loss that I can't physically shop there often. Unfortunately, the same discounts aren't offered in store so I ended up paying full price for everything. I was mainly excited to be able to test out some products in person instead of just searching for decent swatches and reviews online. I ended up being a bit impulsive and purchased a few things that I couldn't resist.
Cargo Mediterranean Collection
This set caught my eye when I swatched the wine colored blush included. The kit included a few more goodies I will share in a separate review.
Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara
I was due for a new brow gel and this one was super cheap.
NYX Single Eye Shadow in Aloha
With fall coming, I've been into taupe and brown eye shadows.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Nude
This will be a perfect base for neutral eye looks.
China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Afterglow
This summer I've been into wearing duo-chrome nail polishes.
Japonesque Professional Brush Cleaner Parian Spirit
This was the first brush cleaner I've ever tried, and so far it remains my favorite.
