Pure Ice 'Home Run' Nail Polish & Pastel Mint Dupes
This shade is called 'Home Run' by the brand Pure Ice. It was my first ever mint nail polish, and now I am completely smitten. It's such a fun pop of color and also a subtle way to be trendy this season.
Formula
I would describe it as a creamy, pastel mint color that applies opaque in one to two coats. The formula is not too thick or thin, and goes on very smoothly without any streaks or bubbles. I was even hesitant to use a top coat because I loved the shiny yet milky finish the polish had. It does not chip easily even on my short finger nails. It dried rather quickly which was convenient and looked really even despite my lack of patience as I was typing away soon after application.
If you're looking for an inexpensive, true mint color to try I would definitely pick this one up.

Dupes
'Home Run' is definitely a more bright, green mint color in comparison to other popular shades right now.
Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple' - more blue tones
China Glaze's 'Re-fresh Mint' - slightly lighter
Revlon's 'Minted' - lighter and more blue tones
Maybelline's 'Minty' - a little less bright
e.l.f.'s 'Mint Cream' - more blue tones and darker
Barry M.'s 'Mint Green' - a tiny bit more blue
Find
Pure Ice sells their polishes at Wal-mart for $1.99 or $.99. They can also be found on Amazon.com and Ebay as well. I have tried many polishes from this brand in the past and was always impressed with the quality. Not only is the price great, but they also offer hundreds of fun colors to try.
