Hair Journey 5.31.12 Update #5

Please read my hair journey so this post will make sense.

The photo above is the length of my hair as of 5.31.12

The awkward stage is almost over, and my hair can now all fall on my back with only a few short layers remaining in the front. I don't feel like it grew that much this month- however I will say I didn't baby my hair  like usual and I think it needed it. Maybe getting back into a routine and also not messing with it when it's wet will help to get back on track in June.

Products used:
Ion Daily Solutions Silk Drops
Regis Desigline Curl Lock Leave-in Moisturizer
Coconut Oil

Hot Tools 1043 Tourmaline Ionic Lite Hair Dryer
ghd Gold Professional 1 inch Flat Iron

Routine:
Straightened about 4 times this month
No Aphogee treatment
Deep conditioned less often
Pulled wet hair into bun

Health:
80%
Some flyaways
Texture is improved
Feels dry and more frizzy

Other:
My hair has been shedding a lot when washing in the shower which might be due to stress and pulling it back more often.
It dries more frizzy because of lack of deep conditioner and also humid weather.
I did a coconut oil treatment on it and left it to soak for 2 days which I think helped to improve it's strength.
At the end of the month I picked up on my multivitamin and water with lemon again.
It was a rough, stressful month which left me neglecting my hair a bit. It definitely lost some progress, but I am improving my diet and also will be conditioning it much more in the next month.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I will return the love as soon as I can.

  3. Your hair looks so shiny and healthy! My hair gets quite frizzy in the humid weather too, I usually just use a spray which is supposed to make it less frizzy xx

  4. I just read your hair story and I almost started crying... I remember when I went to color my hair a few years ago and something similar happened to me. I have been coloring my hair since I was a teenager (Im now 26) and nothing has ever happened to it.. at first my mum used to color it but then I started to go to salons to have it done. This time I wanted my hair red with lighter red stripes. I had it done and the lady at the salon curled it for me... then when I was about to wash it a few days later the hair started to fall off.. I remember looking at my hands in horror cause they were covered in hair. I screamed to my fiancé to come and look and together we dried my hair. Thankfully I did not have any bald spots but that was now maybe 3 years ago and my hair still keeps falling off. Not as much as back then but it still do fall off and I hate it cause it has never done it before...
Your hair looks so beautiful now and you will be back to having your long hair in no time :)
