Bargain Bronzer: Glimmer Bronze - A Review

This cleverly named powder by Bonne Bell is called Glimmer Bronze in the shade Gold 'n Glitz. I think if 'glimmer' really means what I hope it does (shimmer and glitter put together) then that might just be my new favorite word. This loose bronzing powder is basically summer in a jar. It gives a light, tanned glow that looks as if you've been on a sunny vacation and came back with a healthy complexion. It's a bronze, sort of coppery shimmer with tiny glitters that when blended out gives an almost golden sheen. 

Formula
This loose powder is so silky and soft in texture. As you can see from the swatches below, it even blends out nicely and is generously pigmented. The staying powder really impressed me as it lasted a full 8 hour day with only a little bit of fading. The luminosity of this product makes it a perfect summer color that will help lighter complexions look more tanned and darker ones look more golden.

For the most natural application on pale skin, use a light hand and a fluffy face brush to either contour or bronze all over. Dust a little on your neck and decollete to ensure your face matches those areas.

  8. I am surpised that the shimmer is so fine for a cheap product like this. I saw it a few times now, they have it here at walmart and on base, where they have a few things from Bonne Belle. I bought a concealer recently, which surprised me also. I go check this out!

  14. This bronzer has got to be the prettiest I've ever seen, it just has the perfect amount of golden shimmer, ideal for summer. I use NYX Tango with Bronzing Powder in Tribal Oddyssey and it is similar to this one, but it's not as golden, which is what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing this Jordan xo
